The optional browser voice uses Supertonic 3 and an AI-generated preset voice. The model is licensed under the OpenRAIL-M License. Use of this model is governed by that license, including the use restrictions in paragraph 5 and Attachment A. These restrictions apply to every user of the browser voice. The model files are unmodified.
Voice files are downloaded from Hugging Face when needed (about 400 MB, plus the browser runtime). That host receives normal download connection information, including your IP address. Text and generated audio stay on your device. Files may be cached in browser site storage; clearing this site's data removes the saved voice files. A device/browser voice, when available, follows your browser's speech settings.
