Its two-second cycle keeps the visible
motion steady.

Four siphons divide two minutes.
Each siphon fills slowly, primes at the bend,
and then drains quickly.

The fourth siphon fills one minute disc.
Thirty discs represent sixty minutes.

The minute column advances the hour.
At the hour, the discs cascade into the next
hour globe.

Noon and midnight reset the machine.
The hour globes return their liquid to the
large lower reservoir.

another time zone, and daylight-saving changes
are handled automatically where applicable.

Real-time hydraulic reconstruction
The selected time zone remains the source of
truth. Every visible level and transfer is rebuilt
from the correct current time, so the model does
not drift when a browser tab slows down.
